Value for Women Ltd.

Value for Women Ltd. is a social enterprise aimed at generating transformational social change and increasing the active participation of women in enterprise development. We do this by partnering with others to support women entrepreneurs through coaching, capacity development and leadership building. We also work with partners to undertake research and development, as well as policy work to support enterprise, and to break down the barriers that women entrepreneurs face.

Value for Women released a new research report this week detailing the problems of under-investment in women-led small and growing businesses. The report is the culmination of research conducted in collaboration with the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE), BiD Network, ING Bank Sustainability, and the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women. The report, Beyond the Threshold: Investing in Women-led Small and Growing Businesses, and accompanying video were launched this week at the ANDE Annual Conference in Glen Cove, NY. Value for Women joined forces with Kartoffel Films to produce a short video that summarizes some of the key issues discovered in the research. The film profiles two stellar women-led small businesses: Fabrica Social in Mexico and Pomegranate Workshop in India.
