Cavelle Dove
Cavelle Dove has 20 years of international development experience living and working in Southeast Asia, and has worked or consulted on projects in countries including Malawi, South Africa, Uganda, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar and Indonesia. With a Master's in finance, Cavelle has spent a decade working with women entrepreneurs to improve their business skills, and help them access relevant financial products and services.
During her time as the gender lead for UNCDF, Cavelle established a Fintech Innovation Fund to improve women’s financial capability and led policy engagement to improve workplace gender equality initiatives and develop gender smart financial products with microfinance institutions and private banks. Prior to this, Cavelle led the startup of the first women in agriculture program in Myanmar connecting more than 40,000 women to new markets and access to finance. Cavelle has also played leading roles on several startups in Southeast Asia and is the co-founder of a social action organization specializing in linking the university and marketplace to marginalized communities in Thailand, and a social business in Yangon for vocational skills training for vulnerable women.
