Vartika Shukla
Vartika provides technical support, advisory work and gender-lens investment training to financial service providers, funds and small and medium enterprises; inclusive investing strategies for venture capital and private equity organizations; and complex and market-leading research on gender gaps and women’s empowerment.
She is an experienced gender and finance expert who leads Value for Women’s projects and delivery in Southeast Asia and Africa.
Vartika has over 13 years of experience in women's economic empowerment and financial inclusion (branchless banking and microfinance), working with financial service providers across Asia and Africa. She has deep expertise in digital finance, gender finance and microfinance.
Vartika has advised clients on implementing solutions for the economic empowerment of low-income populations, and also delivers workshops and training to support this work. She has worked on consulting and research assignments for microfinance institutions, banks, non-banking financial companies, mobile network operators, ANMs and donor agencies.
Vartika has previously worked with MicroSave Consulting and is a management graduate of the Indian Institute of Forest Management.
