Hannah Schiff
Hannah builds strategies to create and measure positive social impact through investments, with a focus on economic development, gender equity, and climate resilience in emerging markets. Hannah has nearly 20 years of experience in impact investing and international development, including field work in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
Hannah is currently Managing Director of Impact at Developing World Markets, an impact investing fund manager focused on emerging and frontier markets. Hannah leads impact strategy, measurement, and management reporting across DWM’s portfolio spanning in 35 countries. As a member of the senior management team, she also contributes to organizational development and planning.
Previous recent roles include leading a platform-wide impact strategy at Nuveen (the asset management arm of TIAA) and managing research at the Global Impact Investing Network, where she launched a 10-year roadmap for the development of the impact investing industry. Hannah earned a Master’s degree from the Fletcher School at Tufts University focused on international business and development economics and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Brown University. She lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband, two daughters, and cat.
